Eternal Work in Progress

Fish Tale
A fishy stop-motion animation that's everything fishy and yet not so fishy at all.
Big Fish, Little Fish.
Big Fight, Little Game.
A stop-motion special based on Le Merle.
This is my very first stop-motion animation that I created in one of my classes. The story explores the relationship between one large fish and four smaller (and peskier) fish.

In class, we were given an example, the French-Canadian stop-motion titled Le Merle (1958), which itself was based on a nonsense song with a similar title. (Note: I don't think the song is nonsense; it is referred to as such.) I enjoyed the animation so much that I wanted to create a video with a similar style, albeit silent and shorter. The end result was this stop-motion, using construction cut-outs in Photoshop and FinalCutPro. It was used for a freshman exhibition reel, where it was met with a positive response.

I don't consider myself an animator (not yet at least), but this is definitely one of my better works. I hope to animate some more in the future, but until then, this is my solo video piece.
